Built for heavy virtualization

This 2U rack server carries two Xeon Gold 6338 processors with 32 cores each and 128GB of DDR4 3200MHz ECC memory. It targets organisations running dense virtual-machine clusters, large databases or analytics workloads that demand high core counts and registered memory reliability. The dual-CPU design and 2TB maximum memory ceiling suit scale-up deployments rather than single-threaded tasks.

H755 controller and 10GbE networking

The PERC H755 adds 8GB of battery-backed NV cache and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the twelve 8TB 7.2K SATA drives. A Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card provides low-latency fabric connectivity without consuming a PCIe slot. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables full out-of-band management, firmware updates and remote console access.

PCIe Gen4 and SATA drive limits

PCIe Gen4 doubles interconnect bandwidth for the RAID card and OCP adapter, but the installed drives remain SATA 6Gb/s mechanical units capped at 7.2K RPM. The twelve 3.5-inch bays are filled, so expanding raw capacity requires a JBOD or a chassis swap. NVMe and SAS drives are supported by the platform but are not present in this configuration.
