The PowerEdge T430 is a 5U server that can sit on a desk or mount in a rack, giving small offices and remote sites a single platform for collaboration, mail, file, print and web workloads. Dual Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors supply 14 cores each at 2.0 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo, while 64 GB of DDR4 ECC memory across twelve slots provides headroom for virtualisation and database tasks.

From single-socket or older dual-socket

Adding the second processor doubles core count to 28 and lifts maximum memory to 384 GB, a jump that matters when moving from a single-CPU tower or an earlier two-socket system that topped out at lower core density. The PERC H730 controller adds hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a 1 GB cache, replacing software RAID or entry-level cards that cannot sustain write-heavy workloads.
