The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server built for virtualization, database hosting, and software-defined storage. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1GHz with a 3.0GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across four modules, leaving twelve slots free for expansion up to 1TB. A Dell PERC H730P controller with 2GB cache manages RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60.

Hot-Swap Storage and Redundant Power

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays support SAS, SATA, and SSD media, though only four drive trays are included. Two 750W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundant, hot-pluggable power for continuous operation. The integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter handles network connectivity, while iDRAC 9 Express enables remote management and monitoring. The front bezel and ready rails are not included in this configuration.

Verify Rack Kit and Drive Tray Needs

Buyers planning rack deployment must source the optional rack conversion kit separately. Only four 2.5-inch trays are supplied, so additional trays are required to populate the remaining twelve bays. The system supports a maximum of two processors, both sockets are already occupied. Memory upgrades must use DDR4 ECC registered DIMMs compatible with the 16 available slots.
