The GIGABYTE GA-H110M-DS2V pairs an Intel H110 Express chipset with an LGA 1151 socket that accepts 6th and 7th Generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors. It provides two DDR3/DDR3L DIMM slots running at 1600 or 1333 MHz in dual-channel mode for up to 32 GB of system memory. Integrated Intel HD Graphics drive one D-Sub and one DVI-D output, each capable of 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. Realtek GbE LAN with cFosSpeed software and 8-channel HD audio with noise guard complete the platform.
This motherboard fits users replacing a failed board in an existing LGA 1151 system or assembling a low-cost office PC that relies on DDR3 modules already on hand. The two memory slots and single PCIe x16 slot limit expansion, so builders who need four DIMM slots, multiple graphics cards or newer processor generations should consider a different platform.
Only two DIMM sockets are provided, so the maximum installable memory is 32 GB using 16 GB modules at 1600 or 1333 MHz. If the workload demands more than 32 GB of RAM, this board cannot meet the requirement.
