The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 occupies a single rack unit and ships with one Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4 GHz. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 DIMM slots, reaching the 64 GB maximum for this configuration. The platform supports a second processor to double core count for heavily threaded applications.

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays and dual 500 W supplies

Eight small-form-factor bays accept SAS or SATA drives through the Smart HBA H240ar controller, which provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Two hot-swap 500 W redundant power supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. No drives or operating system are included, so storage capacity and software stack are chosen by the builder.

H240ar controller and Matrox G200 graphics

The onboard H240ar delivers 12 Gb/s SAS and 6 Gb/s SATA connectivity with hardware RAID offload, freeing CPU cycles for primary workloads.
