Purpose-built enterprise storage
The HPE 5100 ECO 1.92TB SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" SSD installs directly into HPE Gen8 to Gen10 ProLiant servers using the included G8 tray. It delivers sequential reads up to 540 MB/s and writes up to 520 MB/s over a SATA interface, with 3D TLC NAND and TCG Enterprise self-encryption for data at rest. Hot-plug support allows drive replacement without powering down the server.
Read-intensive workloads in supported ProLiant
This drive suits administrators running read-heavy applications such as web serving, content delivery or virtual desktop infrastructure on listed DL and ML series servers. It is not suited for write-intensive workloads that exceed read-optimised endurance, nor for servers outside the Gen8 to Gen10 2.5" SFF compatibility list. Systems requiring a different form factor or a non-SATA protocol cannot use this part.
SATA 6Gb/s interface determines compatibility
The single specification that decides fitment is the SATA 6Gb/s interface combined with the 2.5" form factor and HPE G8 tray. Only servers listed in the Gen8 to Gen10 2.5" SFF chassis matrix can accept this drive; any system lacking a SATA 6Gb/s backplane or the correct tray mechanics will be incompatible.
