The 10 Gb Ethernet adapter supports high-throughput network traffic. Buyers who need a different drive interface, a higher drive count than four bays, or a GPU-accelerated platform should evaluate alternative configurations. The included Windows Server 2022 Standard licence covers 16 cores, so heavily threaded deployments may require additional licensing.

P408i-a RAID controller with 2 GB cache

The storage subsystem centres on the HPE P408i-a controller with 2 GB flash-backed write cache and a Smart Storage Battery. This controller manages the four SATA SSDs in hardware RAID modes, providing data protection and performance for the 7.68 TB array. The battery-backed cache preserves write data during power loss. If the workload requires a controller with a different cache capacity, a different RAID feature set, or support for a drive protocol other than SATA, this server will not match that requirement.
