SAS 12Gb/s storage interface limit

The MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller provides x8 lanes and 4GB cache, but the SAS bus remains the ceiling for sustained drive performance. Buyers planning all-flash arrays that demand higher per-drive bandwidth will need a different interface.

1TB DDR5-4800 memory ceiling

The platform supports a maximum of 1TB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory across its DIMM slots, and this bundle populates that limit with sixteen 64GB modules. No further memory expansion is possible without removing existing DIMMs. Workloads requiring larger in-memory datasets must evaluate whether the 1TB ceiling meets their capacity needs before purchase.
