Dual Xeon 5416s Server for Virtualised Workloads

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server built around two Xeon Gold 5416s processors. Each CPU provides 16 cores at 2.00 GHz with up to 4.00 GHz turbo and 30 MB cache. The system ships with 512 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory and 15.36 TB of enterprise SATA SSD storage. It targets organisations running virtualised or hybrid workloads that need balanced compute and capacity in a standard rack footprint.

Build Integration With Redundant Power And Remote

The chassis includes redundant power supplies and an embedded 4-port 1 GbE OCP3 adapter for network connectivity. Storage is handled by an MR408i-o Gen11 controller with 4 GB cache. HPE iLO 6 with Intelligent Provisioning provides out-of-band remote management. Memory modules and drive trays are supplied separately and require installation before deployment. Windows Server 2025 Standard is licensed for 16 cores.

512GB DDR5 And 15.36TB SATA Headroom

Eight 64 GB DDR5 modules fill the configured memory capacity, leaving no empty slots for further expansion without replacing modules. Four 3.84 TB SATA SSDs deliver high read throughput for virtual machines and databases, while write-heavy or latency-sensitive workloads may exceed the SATA interface limits. The dual-socket design supports the installed processor pair; additional compute density would require a platform change.
