The ThinkPad P71 is a 17.3" mobile workstation built around an Intel Xeon E3-1505M v6 processor with four cores and a 4.00 GHz turbo frequency. It runs Windows 10 Pro and includes 32 GB of ECC memory plus a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD paired with a 1 TB hard drive. ISV certification covers over 100 professional applications for 3D rendering and enhanced multitasking.

Storage and connectivity bundle

The dual-drive configuration combines a 2 TB NVMe SSD for rapid boot and project loading with a 1 TB hard drive for bulk capacity. A built-in 4G LTE WWAN module provides mobile broadband access away from wired networks. An integrated DVD±RW burner in the optical bay adds legacy media read and write capability without external hardware.

Security hardware and colour accuracy

A fingerprint reader, smart card reader and discrete secure chip provide multi-factor authentication and hardware-level data protection.
