Compact LCD HAT for Raspberry Pi Pico

This 2-inch display module mounts directly on a Raspberry Pi Pico and adds a 320×240 IPS panel with 65K RGB colours. Four onboard buttons give immediate tactile control without extra wiring. Example code in C/C++ and MicroPython is included so developers can start drawing graphics or building menus right away.

SPI bus limits pin count and refresh speed

The screen communicates over a standard SPI bus, keeping the GPIO requirement low but capping the maximum frame rate. Large full-screen updates will visibly scan, so animations work best with partial redraws or smaller sprites. The four buttons share the same bus, so button polling adds a small overhead to the SPI traffic.

320×240 pixels suit dashboards and simple GUIs

The resolution comfortably fits status readouts, sensor graphs, icon-based menus or retro-style games. Full-motion video or detailed maps exceed the available pixel count and SPI bandwidth, so those use cases will run out of headroom quickly.

65K colour depth handles vivid UI elements

The 65K colour palette renders bright icons, colour-coded alerts and simple gradients without banding. Photographic images or smooth shading reveal the limited colour resolution, so high-fidelity graphics are not a practical target for this module.
