This 128GB kit contains eight 16GB DDR4 3200 registered ECC RDIMMs validated for ThinkMate GPX-QN6-42E2-8NVLINK GPU-optimised servers. It targets IT teams expanding memory capacity in multi-GPU compute nodes that require registered modules with error correction.

Replacing Smaller Registered Kits

The kit replaces lower-capacity RDIMM sets when workloads exceed the memory bandwidth or footprint of the existing configuration. The jump is worth it when virtualisation density, GPU-accelerated analytics or large-model training demand the full 128GB at PC4-25600 speed with CL22 latency.

Eight-Slot Population at 1.2V

Eight 288-pin slots must be populated with 2Rx8 modules running at 1.2V; the registered buffer reduces electrical load on the server memory controller. No heat spreaders are fitted, so chassis airflow must handle thermal dissipation for sustained GPU-compute loads.
