Portable NVMe enclosure for 2280 drives
The Orico M208C3 turns a single M.2 NVMe SSD into a USB4 external drive. It accepts 2280 modules with M-key or B+M-key pin-outs and supports capacities up to 4TB. The enclosure is aimed at users who want fast, portable storage without a separate power supply.
USB4 and Thunderbolt host connection
A USB-C cable with both a USB-C and a USB-A connector is included, delivering 40Gbps over USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 and 4, and 10Gbps over the USB-A leg. No AC adapter is required; the drive draws power from the host port. The tray holds one NVMe module and is not compatible with M.2 SATA or PCIe AHCI SSDs.
Fanless aluminium cooling vest
An aluminium shell with CNC-cut fins and a thermal pad wraps the SSD on all sides, conducting heat away without a fan. The fanless design keeps noise at zero while maintaining thermal performance. UASP, TRIM and SMART are supported, and a smart-sleep function powers the drive down after ten minutes of inactivity.
