TerraMaster NAS memory kit

This OWC kit supplies 32 GB of DDR4 memory in two 16 GB UDIMM modules built for TerraMaster U8-322-9100, U8-522-9400 and U8-722-2224 systems. It is designed for NAS owners who need more capacity for virtual machines, containers or large file caches. The modules are non-ECC and unbuffered, matching the platforms' supported memory type. Buyers whose TerraMaster unit already has the maximum populated slots cannot use this kit.

288-pin DDR4 3200 installation

Each module uses the standard 288-pin DDR4 form factor and runs at 1.2 V with CL22 latency at 3200 MT/s. The kit drops into the NAS memory slots without tools and requires no configuration changes in most cases. Because the modules are unbuffered non-ECC, they free the system from registered-memory constraints while keeping power draw low. Systems that require ECC or registered DIMMs will not accept these modules.

32 GB headroom and backward speeds

The 32 GB total gives headroom for simultaneous Docker containers, multiple SMB streams and on-the-fly transcoding. Rated at DDR4 3200, the modules also run at 2133, 2400, 2666 and 2933 MT/s if the platform defaults to a lower speed. Workloads that exceed 32 GB will still swap to disk, so capacity limits remain.
