Straightforward SODIMM installation

The module uses the standard 260-pin DDR4 SODIMM form factor found in most laptops. Installation typically involves opening the service hatch, aligning the notch, pressing the stick in until the clips lock, and closing the hatch. The most common issue is inserting the module at the wrong angle so the notch does not engage the slot key.

2133MHz CL15 DDR4 specification

The memory runs at DDR4 2133 (PC4-17000) with a CAS latency of 15 at 1.2V. It is an unbuffered, non-ECC, dual-rank 2Rx8 module without a heat spreader. If your HP 17-x laptop requires a different speed, voltage or rank configuration, this module will not be compatible.
