Compact 2U rackmount chassis for Micro-ATX builds

The Rosewill RSV-Z2700U is a 2U rackmount server case built around a Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard. It provides four internal 3.5-inch drive bays that also accept 2.5-inch drives and one external 5.25-inch bay for optical media or accessories. Two front-mounted 80 mm PWM fans come pre-installed to move air across the drives and motherboard. Front-panel LEDs show power, drive activity and network link status, while two USB 3.0 ports give quick access for external storage or peripherals.

Expansion and cooling constrained by 2U height

The 89 mm overall height caps the CPU cooler at 70 mm, so only low-profile heatsinks will fit. Graphics cards are limited to low-profile models no longer than 150 mm, and the four expansion slots share that same vertical space. Power supplies must be PS2 ATX units no longer than 150 mm; standard-length ATX units will not fit. The front 80 mm fans are the only factory cooling, so airflow depends entirely on their output and any additional fans you might add in the same locations.

Verify motherboard, drives.

Confirm your board is Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX; full-size ATX and E-ATX boards will not mount. Count your 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives against the four internal bays and note the single 5.25-inch slot for any optical drive or hot-swap cage. Measure your CPU cooler height against the 70 mm limit and your graphics card length against the 150 mm low-profile ceiling. Finally, ensure your PS2 power supply is 150 mm or shorter, otherwise it will not seat in the chassis.
