The Silverstone ST42GF is a new redundant server power supply rated at 420W with 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency. It accepts a universal 90 to 264 V input range and uses active PFC with a power factor above .95 at full load. Four internal fans cool the unit while it delivers power through a 24-pin main connector and multiple peripheral leads. A 100,000-hour MTBF at 25 °C under full load indicates long-term reliability.

Hot-Swap Redundant Architecture

The defining specification is the 1+1 redundant configuration with hot-swappable modules that allow a failed unit to be replaced without shutting down the server. Each module can sustain 420W continuous output, and the combined design provides fault tolerance through automatic load sharing.
