Enterprise capacity for read-heavy workloads

The Solidigm D3-S4520 delivers 7.68TB in a 2.5" SATA form factor built with 144L TLC 3D NAND. It targets data-centre arrays and servers that need high-capacity storage for read-intensive applications. Sequential reads reach up to 550 MBps while writes reach up to 510 MBps. Random performance hits up to 86,000 read IOPS and 30,000 write IOPS.

Low power draw and silent operation

With no moving parts the drive produces zero acoustic noise in normal use. Idle power consumption is 1.4W and active power peaks at 4.3W, keeping thermal output modest inside dense chassis. The operating range spans 0°C to 70°C and the drive tolerates shock up to 1,000 G at 0.5 msec. MTBF is rated at 2,000,000 hours for continuous deployment.

Simple SATA integration for existing infrastructure

The standard SATA III interface slots directly into hot-swap backplanes or cabled bays without adapter cards or PCIe lane planning. A 2.5" drive bay is the only mechanical requirement. Endurance of up to 2.6 DWPD and 36.5 PBW supports sustained mixed workloads, freeing administrators from frequent drive-swap cycles.
