Two DB9 serial ports on PCIe x1
The Syba SI-PEX15037 adds two RS-232 DB9 ports through a single PCI Express x1 lane. It uses the WCH CH382 controller and provides 16C450/550/Extended 550 compatible UARTs with full modem control and hardware or software flow control. Speeds range from 50 bps to 16 Mbps per port. The card is fully compliant with PCI-e Base Specification Revision 1.0a and supports D1, D2, D3hot and D3cold power states.
Low-profile and full-height brackets included
The package supplies two single-port low-profile brackets and one full-height bracket that mounts both ports. This lets the card fit either a slim server chassis with one external port or a full-tower case with two. A driver mini CD and a user manual are also provided for installation on all supported Windows operating systems.
PCIe x1 interface with 100 MHz reference clock
The card connects through a standard PCIe x1 slot and uses a 100 MHz differential common reference clock. It does not support remapping of I/O address or IRQ, so system resources must be available as assigned. At 0.35 lb the board is lightweight and places no unusual mechanical load on the slot.

Spørgsmål om denne vare
Will the CH382 controller or its 16C450/550 compatible UARTs need firmware updates or component replacement over time?
The card uses a WCH CH382 controller with 16C450/550 compatible UARTs that have no field-updatable firmware and no user-replaceable components.
At sustained load, does the PCIe x1 lane bandwidth or the 16 Mbps per port UART ceiling limit throughput first?
Each serial port tops out at 16 Mbps, which is well below the PCIe x1 lane capacity, so the UART ceiling is the first limit you will hit.
With no onboard fan, how much heat does the card add inside a chassis running all day?
The passively cooled CH382 controller draws minimal power through the PCIe x1 slot and adds negligible heat during continuous operation.
