The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz. It ships fully assembled with 32GB of DDR4 memory, 1.6TB of enterprise cache, and four 8TB Synology Plus drives for 32TB of raw capacity. The system targets remote offices and edge deployments needing a tested, ready-to-run storage platform.

Four 1GbE ports with Link Aggregation and one PCIe

Network connectivity relies on four RJ-45 ports operating at 10/100/1000 Mbps. Link Aggregation can combine ports for higher throughput, load balancing, and automatic failover. A single PCIe Gen3 expansion slot accepts compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card. The four drive bays support 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs only.

Expands to eight bays

Adding one Synology RX426 expansion unit doubles the bay count to eight and supports up to 192TB of raw storage using 24TB drives. Without the expansion unit the system is limited to the four internal bays and the included 32TB. Buyers who need more than eight drive bays or a different expansion path should consider other architectures.
