This Timetec Pinnacle kit provides 16GB of DDR4 laptop memory in a matched pair of 8GB SODIMM modules. It targets owners of compatible notebooks, mini PCs or all-in-one systems who need a straightforward capacity increase for gaming or heavy multitasking. The dual-channel layout helps the memory controller move data more efficiently than a single stick.

Upgrade path and value

The modules run at 3200MHz with CL22 timing and 1.2V, but will automatically downclock to 2933MHz or 2666MHz if the platform only supports those speeds. This makes the kit a sensible choice when replacing slower DDR4 SODIMMs or filling empty slots on 11th generation Intel or AMD 4000 series laptop CPUs. Builders already running 3200MHz CL22 memory in a full configuration will not gain additional bandwidth.

Build integration

Each stick uses the standard 260-pin SODIMM form factor with a single-rank 1Rx8 organisation based on 1024x8 ICs. The non-ECC unbuffered design fits mainstream consumer platforms without requiring registered memory support. No extra cooling or voltage adjustment is needed beyond the stock 1.2V setting. Systems limited to a single SODIMM slot cannot use this two-module kit.
