The WaveShare RS485 CAN HAT is a new development board that adds industrial RS485 and CAN interfaces to Raspberry Pi models from the 4B down to Zero WH. It measures 65mm x 30mm and runs at 3.3V with a 3.0mm mounting hole.

The SP3485 is a low-power half-duplex transceiver; at 3.3V supply it draws only a few milliamps, so the HAT stays cool even with all-day RS485 communication.
Which Raspberry Pi models must I already own to plug this HAT directly onto the GPIO header?
The 40-pin header matches Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, 3B, 2B, B+, A+, Zero, Zero W and Zero WH, so any of those boards will work without an adapter.
Will the MCP2515 CAN controller on this HAT share the SPI bus cleanly with an older SPI display I keep on the same Pi?
The MCP2515 uses the standard SPI interface with its own chip-select line, so it coexists with other SPI peripherals as long as each device has a separate CS pin.
