One-to-One Multimedia Duplicator

The Acumen Disc AD01-MMBD is a standalone one-to-one duplicator that copies from USB flash drives, CompactFlash, Secure Digital and Memory Stick cards, or from an optical source disc, directly to a blank CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc. It requires no host computer, software or network connection, so it suits archivists, forensic technicians and small offices that need secure, portable duplication without a PC.

Speed Limits by Media Type

Maximum write speeds are 52X for CD-R, 24X for DVD±R, 8X for DVD±RW, 16X for BD-R, 8X for BD-R DL and 2X for BD-RE. The controller moves data at up to 33 MB/s from flash media or the source reader, so large flash cards will be bottlenecked by the optical writer rather than the reader. Disc spanning and multi-session features mitigate capacity mismatches but cannot raise the physical speed ceiling of each disc format.

Single Source, Single Target

The chassis provides exactly one source slot or reader and one destination writer, so only one copy job can run at a time. Buyers who need simultaneous multiple targets or disc-to-flash-media copying must choose a different model, because this unit does not support those workflows.
