This 2U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors running at 2.3 GHz with 3.6 GHz turbo. Eighteen cores per CPU and 768 GB of DDR4-2133 registered ECC memory across 24 slots support virtualisation, databases and high-performance computing nodes.

The chassis occupies 2U of rack height and requires rails for installation. Dual 750 W platinum hot-swap supplies need matching PDU outlets. Eight 2.5-inch SAS bays are populated with two 300 GB 10K drives; the PERC H730 controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through.

iDRAC8 Enterprise and Quad-Port Networking Included

Remote management is handled by iDRAC 8 Enterprise for out-of-band control. A daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports on the Intel X520/I350 controller. Bezel and ready rails are supplied in the box.
