Operating system, additional memory, extra drives, 10GbE networking and iDRAC Enterprise upgrades are not included.

Should I choose the 16GB DDR4 configuration or add more memory now?

The system has 24 DIMM slots (12 per CPU) and supports up to 1536GB total using 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB DDR4 modules up to 2400MT/s. The installed 16GB occupies only a few slots, leaving ample room to expand later without removing existing sticks.

What does the H330 12Gbps RAID controller actually deliver in this chassis?

The H330 provides 12Gbps SAS connectivity to the 12 hot-plug 3.5" bays and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. With the three included 600GB 15K drives you can build a RAID 5 array for capacity with redundancy or RAID 10 for higher write performance, and add more SAS or SATA drives later without changing the controller.
