Two Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors deliver 16 cores each at 2.1 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo. 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules supports virtualisation, database and high-performance computing tasks. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC8 Enterprise provide redundancy and remote management.

Sustained throughput from 24 enterprise SAS drives

Twenty-four 300 GB 10K SAS disks connect through a PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache and battery backup. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through for software-defined storage. Quad-port networking with two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links feeds data to the array without bottlenecking the CPU complex during extended writes or rebuilds.
