The system targets virtualisation hosts, database workloads and compute clusters that need dense two-socket performance in a standard rack footprint.

Sustained load behaviour

Twelve cores per socket at 2.1 GHz base frequency with 3.0 GHz turbo provide consistent throughput for multi-threaded applications. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache and battery backup maintains write performance during extended I/O streams across the eight 2.4 TB 10 K SAS drives. Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies keep the platform running without interruption during maintenance or a single supply failure.
