Dual Xeon Gold 6134 2U server

The Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a two-socket rack server built for storage-dense workloads. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors run at 3.2 GHz with eight cores each. The system ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight modules. Twenty-four DIMM slots allow expansion up to 3 TB.

24-bay 2.5-inch chassis with H730P RAID

The 2U frame holds twenty-four hot-swap 2.5-inch drive bays connected to a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Two 400 GB SATA SSDs are installed. Redundant 1100 W platinum power supplies and sliding rails are included. A quad-port network daughter card provides two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ connections. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote management.
