The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 14 cores running at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across twelve slots, expandable to 384 GB. A PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages four 960 GB SATA SSDs in the sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays.

Redundant platinum power supplies handle thermal

Two 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap mode, delivering stable power to both processors and the full drive complement. The 5U chassis provides airflow across the dual-socket board, the H730P battery-backed cache, and the SSD array without requiring additional cooling configuration. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 8 Express share the same power budget.

Battery-backed RAID controller enables data

The H730P supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode, allowing the four installed SSDs to be configured for redundancy or capacity. iDRAC 8 Express provides out-of-band remote management for firmware updates, power cycling and console access without an operating system. Buyers who need more than four drives or a larger memory footprint must add components separately.
