Dual Xeon Silver 4110 server for virtualization

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1GHz with a 3.0GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides eight cores for a total of sixteen threads, delivering the compute density needed for VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox VE virtualization and business-critical applications. The system ships with 128GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across four 32GB modules.

Installed memory occupies four of the sixteen DIMM slots, leaving twelve slots open for expansion up to the 1TB maximum capacity supported by the platform. Storage is handled by a Dell PERC HBA330 12Gb/s SAS/SATA controller connected to four Dell enterprise 1.92TB SATA 6Gb/s 2.5-inch solid-state drives. The chassis provides sixteen hot-swap 2.5-inch bays, so twelve additional drives can be added for larger datasets or redundancy.

Redundant 750W platinum power supplies in a 5U

Two hot-plug 750W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide full redundancy, allowing one unit to fail or be replaced without interrupting operation. The 5U tower enclosure supports an optional rack conversion kit for deployment in a standard server rack. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 9 Express remote management handle network connectivity and out-of-band administration respectively.
