The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server that can be converted for rack mounting. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4214 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 12 cores for a total of 24 cores. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across 16 DIMM slots supporting up to 1 TB.

Installation uses hot-swap bays and redundant power

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays accept SAS and SATA drives without tools. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.
