The HP OmniBook 5 runs on the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 processor with eight cores up to 3.4 GHz and a 45 TOPS NPU. Sixteen gigabytes of LPDDR5x memory are soldered to the board. A 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2242 SSD holds the operating system and files. Windows 11 Home 64-bit ships pre-installed. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory or a second storage drive should look elsewhere.

16 inch 2K OLED touchscreen and ports

The 16.0 inch display shows 1920 x 1200 resolution on an OLED panel with .2 ms response time and 300 nits brightness. Touch input and a micro-edge design are included. Two USB-C ports deliver 10 Gbps signaling with USB Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4a. One USB-A port adds another 10 Gbps connection. A 3.5 mm combo jack handles audio. There is no HDMI output or card reader built in.

59 Wh battery with 65 W GaN charger

A three-cell 59 Wh polymer battery powers the system. The included 65 W USB-C GaN adapter recharges over the same USB-C ports used for peripherals and external displays. Integrated Adreno graphics share system memory for video and light compute tasks. Sustained workloads run within the passive thermal envelope of the 0.52 inch chassis. Heavy, continuous GPU compute will throttle sooner than designs with discrete cooling.
