Redundant power and flexible drive bays

Two hot-swap 500 W supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. Four 3.5-inch LFF bays hold the included pair of 600 GB 15 K SAS drives and leave room for two more disks. The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA connectivity with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

Upgrades from single-socket

Adding a second Xeon doubles the core count to 36 total and opens the remaining 12 DIMM slots for up to 3 TB of memory.
