1U dual-Xeon rack server

Suited for SATA-only storage arrays

This configuration uses the B140i software RAID controller which supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 on SATA drives only. Eight SFF bays allow up to eight 2.5-inch drives, but the controller cannot address SAS or other protocols. Buyers who need hardware RAID, SAS connectivity or more than eight drive bays should consider a different platform.
