The iStarUSA S-35-B4RD is a Mini-ITX tower chassis designed for storage-focused systems. It provides four front-accessible 3.5-inch hot-swap bays plus a single internal 2.5-inch bay. Builders who need more than four drive slots or a larger motherboard form factor should look elsewhere.

Aluminium front panel and hot-swap trays

The enclosure uses a 4mm aluminium front panel over heavy-duty SECC steel construction. Four hot-swap trays with red handles allow drive changes without tools or system shutdown. Front I/O includes two USB 2.0 ports and a power button. Only one expansion slot is available for add-in cards.

Single 120 mm fan for airflow

Cooling is handled by one 120 mm fan that draws air across the drive bays and motherboard. The chassis supports 6.0 Gb/s SATA and SAS hard drives and is compatible with Flex form-factor power supplies. Noise and thermal output will vary with the installed components and fan speed curve.
