The LORDWORLD M2PVM turns an M.2 drive into a pocket-sized external SSD. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 modules using either M-key or B+M-key pin-outs. A USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C link delivers up to 10 Gbps theoretical bandwidth. Aluminium top and plastic base keep the unit light and aid heat dissipation.

Upgrade from USB 3.0 adapters

Older USB 3.0 enclosures cap at 5 Gbps and often lack UASP support, so sustained transfers stall well below the drive's potential. This model adds UASP and doubles the host link to 10 Gbps, letting a fast NVMe module exceed 900 Mbytes/sec in real use. The jump matters when you move large video projects or system images daily.

Headroom for NVMe, limit at the port

A high-end PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 NVMe drive will saturate the 10 Gbps USB pipe, so sequential reads top out near 900 Mbytes/sec regardless of the media. SATA M.2 drives run at their native 6 Gbps ceiling, well within the envelope. The enclosure cannot bypass the USB bottleneck, so multi-gigabyte NVMe speeds stay untapped.
