Registered DDR4 2666 limits

The DDR4 2666 interface caps transfer rates at PC4-21300, so throughput is bounded by that standard rather than by the module itself. Registered buffering adds a clock cycle of latency, which is normal for server platforms but prevents use in consumer boards that expect unbuffered DIMMs. ECC operation also requires a memory controller that supports error correction.

Single-rank 288-pin build

The module uses a bare green PCB without a heat spreader, relying on chassis airflow for cooling. Its 288-pin RDIMM keying fits only registered DDR4 slots, so it will not seat in UDIMM or SO-DIMM sockets. The 1.2 V operating voltage matches the DDR4 specification and keeps power draw predictable in dense NAS configurations.
