16GB DDR3L ECC Registered DIMM

This module is a 16GB DDR3L 1600 ECC registered RDIMM built for Lenovo ThinkServer RD330, RD340, RD430, RD440 and RD530 systems. It runs at PC3L-12800 with CL11 latency at 1.35V. The 2Rx4 organisation and 240-pin form factor match the server memory slots exactly. It is not compatible with standard desktop motherboards or unbuffered memory configurations.

Single-module capacity for server workloads

One 16GB stick adds a full rank of registered ECC capacity to a supported ThinkServer. It handles virtualisation, database caching and multi-user file serving within the platform’s memory limits. The module cannot be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs and will not function in consumer desktops, laptops or workstations that require non-registered memory.

Low-voltage operation in validated platforms

The 1.35V DDR3L specification reduces power draw compared with standard DDR3 modules in the same slots. With no heat spreader, the module relies on the server’s directed airflow for cooling. Acoustic impact is negligible in the rackmount chassis for which the RD330 through RD530 series are designed.
