Registered DDR4 Constraints

Registered ECC memory cannot be mixed with unbuffered modules and will not function in standard desktop computers that lack registered memory support. The DDR4 2400MHz PC4-19200 interface limits bandwidth to the JEDEC standard specification, and the CL17 timing is fixed for this module. Systems must support 288-pin Registered DIMMs at 1.2V for compatibility.

Capacity And Headroom

A single 16GB module provides substantial memory for virtualisation, database workloads and multi-user applications in compatible server platforms. The 2Rx8 organisation allows higher density per channel, but total capacity is constrained by the number of available memory slots and the server's maximum supported memory per channel.
