Single-bay SATA dock with active cooling
The Sabrent EC-DFFN accepts one 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drive up to 6 TB and connects it through USB 3.0. A built-in fan runs while the dock is powered to keep the drive cool during long transfers. Hot-swap support means you can swap drives without rebooting the host computer.
Sustained throughput with fan-assisted thermal
The USB 3.0 link tops out at 5 Gbps, while the fan maintains airflow across the exposed drive surface during extended read or write sessions. An on-off switch cuts power to both the drive and the fan when the dock is idle, and the LED shows power and activity status at a glance.
Check drive height and host port before ordering
The lay-flat tray is designed for standard-height desktop SATA drives; thicker enterprise models may not sit flush. Your computer must provide a USB 3.0 Type-A port for full speed, though the dock will fall back to USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps if only an older port is available. No driver installation is required on supported Windows or macOS versions.
