Tool-less drive bays and SODIMM slot

Each of the two 3.5-inch bays uses a tool-less tray that accepts SATA hard drives or SSDs; the tray locks with a simple latch so installation takes seconds. Memory upgrades use standard DDR4 SODIMM modules inserted into the single available slot after removing the bottom cover. The most common issue is inserting a module that exceeds the 6 GB total limit or mixing speeds, which can prevent the unit from posting.

2.5GbE and 1GbE network limits

The box provides one 2.5GbE port and one 1GbE RJ-45 port for link aggregation or separate networks, but throughput tops out at the slower link when both are bridged without a managed switch. Btrfs snapshots and checksums protect data integrity, yet the CPU cannot sustain heavy encryption or real-time transcoding for multiple 4K streams simultaneously. Buyers who need 10GbE connectivity or more than two drive bays should look elsewhere.
