The Vertiv Liebert PSA5-700MT120 is a line-interactive UPS rated at 700 VA and 420 W for 120 V environments. It provides ten NEMA 5-15R outlets, five of which deliver battery-backed power plus surge protection while the remaining five supply surge protection only. Two integrated USB charging ports add convenience for mobile devices. An LCD panel on the front reports estimated run time, load level, battery condition, and input and output voltage and frequency. The unit carries Energy Star certification.

Replaces basic power strips without battery backup

When a simple surge strip no longer protects unsaved work during brief outages, this UPS adds automatic voltage regulation to correct minor sags and swells without draining the battery. The upgrade is worth it for systems that cannot tolerate an unexpected shutdown, such as a desktop PC, a modem and router combo, or a small NAS. It is not suited for loads that exceed 420 W or for installations requiring longer run times than the battery provides.

Delivers two minutes at full load

Under sustained demand the internal valve-regulated lead-acid battery supports connected equipment for two minutes when the full 420 W is drawn, extending to eight minutes at roughly half that load. The 316-joule surge rating handles transient spikes on the input side, which accepts 86 to 143 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz through a NEMA 5-15P plug. The tower chassis measures 11.00 by 3.90 by 11.40 inches and weighs 15.70 lbs.
