The Dell EMC PowerEdge M640 is a half-height blade server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 6154 processors. Each CPU runs at 3.0 GHz with a 3.7 GHz turbo frequency and provides 18 cores. The system arrives with 16 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory installed across two slots. It targets virtualization, private cloud and high-performance computing workloads in dense data-center environments.

S140 controller with dual 960 GB SSDs

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC S140 controller that supports SATA, SAS and NVMe drives along with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. Two Dell Enterprise 960 GB SATA 2.5-inch solid-state drives are installed in the front bays. Network connectivity comes from a Broadcom 57810S-K dual-port 10 Gb daughter card.
