The Kingston NV3 is a 1TB internal solid state drive built on a single-sided M.2 2280 PCB. It uses 3D TLC NAND and a Phison PS5021-E21 controller to deliver up to 6000MB/s read and 4000MB/s write speeds for desktops, laptops and compact handheld consoles.
Replacing an older PCIe 3.0 NVMe drive or a mechanical hard drive with the NV3 brings sustained sequential reads of 6000MB/s and writes of 4000MB/s, plus 420,000 random read IOPS and 390,000 random write IOPS. The jump is worth it when game loading, large file transfers or video editing workflows need higher throughput and 320TBW endurance.
The thin, single-sided design draws a typical 3.2W active and 0.07W idle, producing low heat so no separate heatsink is required. It slots into any mainstream M.2 motherboard socket, supports 1000G shock and 20G vibration resistance, and frees up space in small chassis while providing 2,000,000 hours MTBF reliability.
