No driver installation is required for Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS, making it a straightforward tool for data recovery, drive cloning or archiving legacy media.

USB 3.0 Interface Limits

The adapter operates at up to 5Gb/s over USB 3.0 and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, though transfer speeds will fall to the host port's maximum. An included 12V 2A power adapter is necessary to run 3.5in drives, while 2.5in drives can often draw sufficient power from the USB connection alone. An on/off switch lets you cut power to the attached drive for safe removal.

Capacity Headroom to 6TB
