Universal 2.5in and 3.5in Drive Adapter

The LUOM E02 connects any standard 2.5in or 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drive or solid-state drive to a computer through an available USB 3.0 port. It also supports optical drives such as DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. No driver installation is required for Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS, making it a straightforward tool for data recovery, drive cloning or archiving legacy media.

USB 3.0 Interface Limits

The adapter operates at up to 5Gb/s over USB 3.0 and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, though transfer speeds will fall to the host port's maximum. An included 12V 2A power adapter is necessary to run 3.5in drives, while 2.5in drives can often draw sufficient power from the USB connection alone. An on/off switch lets you cut power to the attached drive for safe removal.

Capacity Headroom to 6TB

The device supports drives with a capacity of up to 6TB, covering most current mechanical hard drives and high-capacity SATA SSDs. Drives larger than 6TB are not guaranteed to function correctly, so users with larger volumes should verify compatibility before purchase. The auto-sleep mode helps reduce wear on mechanical drives during periods of inactivity.
