The onboard B140i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 but only for SATA devices. SAS, NVME or mixed arrays are not supported by this controller. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays are populated with two drives, leaving six bays available for additional SATA capacity. A second processor can be added to reach the 36-core maximum.

Tool-less rails and redundant power simplify

The server includes tool-less sliding rails for standard rack mounting and dual 500W hot-swap power supplies for redundancy. Memory expansion uses 24 DIMM slots, twelve per processor, supporting DDR4 modules up to 2400MT/s. The B140i RAID limitation means builders needing hardware RAID or NVME support must add a dedicated controller.
