Registered DDR5 DIMMs add a buffer that stabilises heavy memory loads but introduces one extra cycle of latency versus unbuffered modules. The 1.40V operating voltage and 6400 MT/s data rate demand a motherboard with a validated DDR5 RDIMM topology and EXPO support.
