What the card delivers

This GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT model targets 1080p gaming with a 1647 MHz core clock and 1845 MHz boost clock. Four gigabytes of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus feed 1408 stream processors through a PCI Express 4.0 x16 link. Outputs include one HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors for up to four monitors.

Sustained load behaviour

The WINDFORCE 2X cooler uses alternate spinning fans and a back plate to manage the 140 watt thermal design power during extended sessions. A single 8-pin power connector draws from a supply rated at 450 watts or higher. Clock speeds hold at the rated boost while temperatures stay within the dual-slot, 225 mm length envelope.

PCI Express 4.0 x16 limits

The x16 electrical interface provides full bandwidth for the GPU and GDDR6 memory running at 14000 MHz effective. DirectX 12 and OpenGL 4.6 expose the feature set at the API level. Maximum digital resolution reaches 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz across the available display outputs.
