Server-grade ECC RDIMM for Cisco UCS C4200

This 64GB DDR4 module is an ECC registered DIMM built for the Cisco UCS C4200 server platform. It operates at 3200 MT/s with a CAS latency of 22 and runs at 1.2V. The 2Rx4 dual-rank organisation fits the 288-pin RDIMM slot and replaces Cisco part numbers UCSMRX64G2RW, UCS-MR-X64G2RW-M and UCSXMRX64G2RW. It is not compatible with standard desktop computers or unbuffered and load-reduced memory types.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The module has no heat spreader and relies on the server chassis airflow for cooling. Power consumption stays at the standard 1.2V DDR4 level during typical operation. As a passive component it generates no acoustic noise of its own. ECC circuitry adds a small overhead that is accounted for in the JEDEC-compliant power envelope.

Behaviour under sustained load

Registered buffering helps maintain signal integrity when all ranks are active for extended periods. The single 64GB stick populates one slot, leaving room for further expansion within the C4200 memory architecture. JEDEC compliance ensures timing parameters remain stable at 3200 MT/s during continuous workloads. Mixing with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs is not supported and would prevent the system from booting.
